She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Alonzo Dempsey and Nolie Matlock Dempsey (Melton "Snow" Williams); her grandmother Nancy Ida Dempsey; her son-in-law Winfred "Wimp" Ware; her siblings, Jack Allen Dempsey, Phillip Marion (Brigetta Dempsey), Hazel Faye (Billy Frank Davis), Ida Catherine (Albert Potter) and Odessa Cleo (Roy Westmoreland); and her sister-in-law Carolyn Dempsey.
She is survived by: her spouse Williams; her daughters, Nancy Kay, Regina Ann Ware and Linda Marie Short; her granddaughters, Victoria Renee Short and Deidra Kay (Michael Rimsky); her great grandchildren, Reagan Rose, Hunter, Alivia and Gracelynn Rimsky; her brother James Mack Dempsey; and her sister-in-law Betty Dempsey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
