He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Rivera Martinez and Panfilo Velez Martinez; and his siblings, John Robert Martinez and Shirley Whiteside. He is survived by: his children, Paul Lewis Martinez, Angelica Yellowfish and Wesley Paul Martinez; and his wife Erma Martinez.
