He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Petty and Cleta Terry Petty of Cumby. He is survived by: his wife Rita Petty of Cumby; his sister Charlotte Henderson of Sulphur Springs; his sons, Jay Petty of Rowlett, Matt Petty (Sharon) of Cumby, Heath Petty (Erica Johnson), Ryan Petty (Megan) of Cumby and Russell Petty (Krystal) of Commerce; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah of Brooke, J. T., Michael, Derek and Liam.
