He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Naomi Blake (Cox); his wife Marian Naomi Blake; his father Herman Blake; and his siblings, Betty Lee Bynum and James Autra Blake.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis D. Blake, Andy J. Blake and Cynthia Lynn Merkey; his brother Vincent D. Blake; and his grandchildren, Terry Miller, Kaysue Hall, Dawn Tucker, Joshua Mark Blake, Corriene Elizabeth Wise, Sandra Lynn Monse, Nicole Naomi Lauret and Lilli-Jeanne Francis Gurney. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
