He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Gardner and Rudean Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Tabeth Van Beveren; his children, Sara Hickey of Kingsland and Bryan Gardner of San Marcos; his stepson Cameron Ruschhaupt (Katharine) of Dallas; his sister Linda Smallwood of Burnet; and his grandchildren, Nick Hickey and Ayden Regnier.
