He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Smith and Lovey Lamerle Smith; his brothers, Bobby Joe Smith (Kay) and Gary Burt Smith (Jane); his children, Linda Karen Smith Upchurch (Frank) and Mark Allen Davis; his sister-in-law Bonnie Dutton; and his mother-in-law Nina Luker Ramsey.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Beth Smith; his brother Jack Smith; and his children, Lana Kay Cooley (Jay), John Harold Smith (Stacey), Elizabeth Fae Barta, Shane Rae Smith (Wendy), David Lee Smith (Laura), Lisa Wright Davis (Terry), Michael Charles Davis (Kim), Johner Martin (Melissa), Gavin Walter Davis and Ava LaRayne Davis. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
