He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Olguin and Nicolasa Eschavarria Olguin; his wife Minerva Sanchez Olguin; and his children, Richard Olguin Jr., Robert Olguin and Olivia Garza.
He is survived by: his children, Ofelia Madrigal (Ruben), Amanda Olguin, Lydia Castro (Randy), Rosemary Olguin, Johnny Olguin (Dolores), Guillermo W. Olguin and Eugene W; and his granddaughter Laura Mungia. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
