With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel Cortez Ruiz of Cuero, Texas, who passed away on April 9, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Cortez and Ernestina Peña Cortez; her husband Frank Ruiz Jr.; her son Ronald Wayne Ruiz; and her sisters, Effie and Stella Trevino.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Edmond (Clyde) of Chesapeake, VA, Diana Rangel (Martin) of Kenosha, WI, Norma Brunello (Martin) of Kenosha, WI and Joseph Frank Ruiz of Antioch, IL; and her sisters, Lila Gonzales of Texas and Dorothy Chaffee of Texas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
