He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Solis and Dominga Villa Solis; his siblings, Josephine Saenz and Ruben Solis; his stepsisters, Anita Alonzo and Victoria Garza; and his brother-in-law Baldemar Saenz.
He is survived by: his wife Augustina Alvarez; his sons, Juan Solis, Jr. (Margaret), Freddie Solis (LeeAnn), Richard Solis and David Solis (Dolores); his siblings, Helen Saenz and Jimmy Solis (Gloria); and his brother-in-law Robert Saenz. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
