It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jernell Lillie Toenjes of Cuero, Texas, born in Westhoff, Texas, who passed away on July 17, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Koehler Pakebusch Mueller and Charlie Pakebusch; her spouse Wardell John Toenjes; her siblings, Alvin Charles Pakebusch and Rube Lee Pakebusch; her stepbrother Henry Mueller (Hank); and her brother-in-law DeWitt Toenjes.
She is survived by: her children, Loy Tieken (Kenneth) of Cuero and Chad Toenjes of Colorado; her stepsiblings, Helen McCord of Bastrop and Wilbert Mueller (Red) of Oregon; her grandchildren, Kendall (Sarah) and Ashley (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Landon, Avery, Brantley, Kason and Kamdyn. She is also survived by many cousins, step-nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic there will be a private graveside service with Pastor Paul Muehlbrad officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
