He was predeceased by: his mother Ella Mae Young. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Williams; his children, James Mathis (Dorothy) of Houston, Aleshia McGruder (Edward) of Houston and Rhonda Johnson (Essex) of Houston; his stepchildren, Chris Williams (Shondra) of Cuero, Delvin Taylor of Lubbock and Kimberly Williams of Cuero; his siblings, Clifford Ransom of Fort Worth and Pamela Ransom of Fort Worth; his friends, Thomas and Vicki McGuffy; and his pet Fox. He is also survived by brother-in-laws; sister-in-laws; an uncle; a host of nieces and nephews.
