He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito Mejia and Angelita Robledo Mejia; his former wife Isabel Mejia; and his brothers, Jose Robledo Mejia and Benito Mejia Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Mejia; his children, Larry Mejia Jr. (late Sulema), Rubin Mejia (Elizabeth), Paul Mejia (Clara), Peggy Mejia Courtney (William) and Angie Villaloboz (Marcelo); his stepchildren, Linda Pena (Joe), Ricardo Ricky Pena (Patsy), Bernice Cardona Licon (Martin), Dora Cardona, Roberto Bobby Cardona and Julian Isaiah Recio (Mona); and his siblings, Eva DeHoyos (Jesse), Matilde Martinez (Ramiro), Irma Flores (Lorenzo) of San Antonio, Theresa Mejia (Maryjane) of Cuero, Herminio Mejia (Senaida) of San Antonio and Domingo Mejia (Irma) of Cuero. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
