She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Buehrig and Nathalia Dreier Buehrig; and her siblings, Annabelle Chovanetz, Milton Buehrig and William Buehrig.
She is survived by: her husband Herbert F. Frels; her children, Lori J. Frels-Henry (Scott) of Austin, Finley Frels (Susan) of Cuero and Dr. John Frels (Kathy) of Cuero; her grandchildren, Kyle, Kreg, Kace Frels-Henry of Austin, Kim Mosier (Grey) of Kingsbury, Kristy Brewer (Philip) of Allen and Dr. Leslie Frels (Peter Kaldis) of Houston; and her caregivers, Becky Lira, April Hernandez, Lena Jasso, Estella Lira and Marie Gomez. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
