He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sr. Ruiz and Petra Garza Ruiz; his son Ronald W. Ruiz; and his sisters, Cruzita Ruiz, Mary Santos and Emma Camarillo.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Cortes; his children, Mary A. Edmond of Norfolk, VA, Diana L. Rangel of Kenosha, WI, Norma J. Brunello of Kenosha, WI and Joseph F. Ruiz of Antioch, IL; and his sister Lillie Salinas of San Antonio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
