He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipe Garcia Sr. and Angelita Vela; and his wife Lucia Garcia. He is survived by: his former wife Lucia Orosco; and his children, Albert Garcia (Olga) of Cuero, Gilbert Garcia (Kecia) of Victoria, Yolanda Garcia Blaskowski (Henry) of Wisconsin, Janie Garcia of Wisconsin and Adela Torres of Cuero. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
