He was predeceased by: his parents, E. W. Keslaw-Strait and Mary Anna Keslaw-Strait; and his siblings, Waldine Robinson, Velma Bryant, Donald Ray Strait and Edwin Strait.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Hoegemeyer; his children, Ladolia Wade of Cuero, Kevin Strait (Julie) of San Antonio, Martin Sanders of Cuero and Michael Albrecht of Yorktown; his siblings, Elizabeth Allen (Alton) of Gonzales, Dorothy Lampkin (Jimmy) of Gonzales, Lawrence Strait of Gonzales, Rufus Strait (Helen McAfee) of Cuero and Rodney Strait (Andrea) of Cuero; his grandchildren, Jonathan Albrecht of Ft. Campbell, KY, Justin Albrecht of Shiner and Alyssa Strait of San Antonio; and also D'Metra Lee Strait.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Greater Webster A.M.E church in Gonzales.
