It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amelia S. Hernandez of Cuero, Texas, born in Arneckeville, Texas, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guadalupe Sr. Sertuche and Josephine Sertuche; her spouse Justo Hernandez; her son Ernest Sertuche; and her brother Jacinto Sertuche.
She is survived by: her daughters, Molly Escobedo of Cuero, Lydia Gomez of Cuero and Erma Villarreal; her son-in-law Danny of Cuero; her son Robert Hernandez; her daughters-in-law, Jackie of Cuero, Rachael Hernandez of Cuero and Nelda Sertuche of Yorktown; her siblings, Mary Alice Salazar (Andrew Ochoa) of Cuero, Janie Turner of Cuero and Guadalupe Sertuche Jr. of Houston; and her niece Cindy Sertuche of Houston. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
