It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Martin Harkey of Crystal City, Texas, who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Sonny" Leslie Harkey, Jr. and Annette Carr Harkey; and his siblings, Wayne King Harkey, Harold "Hal" Leslie Harkey III and Joyce Harkey Winn.

He is survived by: his uncle Ronny Carr (Mary); his brother-in-law Pete Winn; his nephew Ron Winn; his friend Methodist Church; and also Melissa Annette Winn. He is also survived by numerous cousins, a niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Carrizo Springs, 602 W Nopal St, Carrizo Springs, TX 78834.

“Many good memories come to my mind as i think of Marty Harkey,. He was a Friend, and a neighbor, as he and his Family lived next door too my home on 12 th Ave in Crystal City. Marty cared about people and was mindful of every one, their health, and their well being. He served an important role in the First Methodist Church of Crystal City, as greeter, usher, maintenance and yard man, and a regular helper in the Church services. Marty's cheerful presence will be missed. Ann Huffman Pedersen”
