He was predeceased by: his parents, Elojia Mena (Garza) and Antonio Mena; his wife Dora Hernandez; and his daughter Ruby Hernandez. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Mena of Crystal City, Veronica Mena of Boise, Esmeralda Gil (Santiago) of Payette, Idaho, Antonio Mena (Velma) of Batesville and Johnny Joe Mena (Alicia) of Uvalde; and his brothers, Jose Angel Mena of Crystal City, Texas. and Francisco Mena of Crystal City, Texas.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (408 Fort Clark Rd, Uvalde, TX 78801). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Benito Juarez Cemetery (1805 Old Uvalde Hwy, Crystal City, TX 78839).
