She was predeceased by: her parents, A. R. McHaney and Velma McHaney (Thompson); her husband Edward E Evans; her daughters, Rose Cherry and Ellen Lhota (Bob); her son-in-law Carroll Bryant; her brothers, Sid McHaney and Joe Pat McHaney; and her great grandchild Liam Castro.

She is survived by: her daughters, Nena Bryant of Grandview, Bette Greenwood (Dale) of Anson and Veda Ragsdill of Houston; and her son-in-law Doug Cherry of Alvarado. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
