He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dumas Hopkins and Zelma Hopkins (Booker); his wife Nelda Chappell; his daughters, Patti McConnell of Providence and Karen Baylor of Fort Worth, Texas; and his brothers, Bobbie Hopkins of Crowell and Leslie Hopkins of Crowell. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Crowell, 1122 Main St., Crowell, Texas 79227.
