He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Borchardt and Jackie Borchardt (Shannon); and his brother James Borchardt. He is survived by: his children, Kerry "Moe" Borchardt (Brooke) of Lubbock and Shanna Gutierrez of Abilene, Texas; his grandchildren, Jordan Lagunas, Brandy Ocon (Eric), Paige Weatherby, Hagen Borchardt, Taylor Borchardt, Presley Lair and Paxton Lair; and his sister Pam Eavenson of Crowell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Funeral Home of Crowell (104 Marietta St, Crowell, TX 79227). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Crowell Cemetery.
