It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denton Ray Werley of Crowell, Texas, born in Chicota, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leaman "Jacky" and Alice Werley (Woolf); his wife Wilma Werley; his siblings, Rose Schultz, Geneva Haire, Raymond Werley, Jimmy Dean Werley and Peggy Carrol; and his grandson Matthew Shores-Baker.
He is survived by: his former spouse Jannette Conaway; his daughter Jennifer Baker (Kevin) of Crowell; his grandchildren, Zachary Simmons, Sierra Alexis Rae Simmons, Morgan Shores-Baker Durham and Brittany Shores-Baker; his great grandchildren, Jayden Delena and Braelynn Hinkle; and his siblings, Donald Werley, Mary Whetson and Carolyn Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to Crowell Housing Authority.
