The memory of Velda Jo Lilley Batt Gunter of Crosbyton, Texas, who passed away on January 16, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charnel Edgar and Dauskola Lilley (Luster); her husband John Gunter (Wayland); and her sister Patricia Lilley Ortega (Susie). She is survived by: her significant other Edward Dow Batt; her daughters, Cynthia Vasquez (Cindy) and Patricia Taylor (Sam); her sister Bonnie Starkey (Carlton); her children, Edd Dowbert Batt and Jeanean Gonzales (Judy); her grandchildren, Lindsay Sweeting and Travis Gonzales; her brothers, Charles, Jimmy and Hubert Lilley (Buster); and also, Sylvia Vilgas, Michelle Hodges and Sharon Williams. She is also survived by twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three bonus grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
