He is survived by: his children, Ricky Strickland of Beaumont, Kristi Strickland of Joaquin and Michelle Rollocks (Felix) of Crosby; his grandchildren, Aimee Jergins (Hayden) of Joaquin, Alexis Morales of Crosby, Jaden Smith of Crosby and Chauncey Dior Smith of Crosby; his great grandchildren, Jaxton Dale Jergins, Addisyn Mae Jergins of Joaquin, Alexander Morales and Hailee Morales of Crosby; his brother Larry Strickland (Mary Beth) of Vidor; his aunt Ann; and his uncle Wayne Barber of Jasper. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
