“Dear Family of Asa Hearn, I'm Phil Massie, Christopher's brother. I served in Lima, 3/4 at the same time with Asa, although I was in a different Platoon. I didn't know him, but he is my Brother in Arms, and especially since we served in the same unit at the same time. I am sincerely grateful for Asa's help for my brother Chris, and will always keep him in my daily Rosary. Marines used to joke that St. Peter will waive them through, since "we already served our time in hell!" Rest in Peace Asa.”
