He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Pugh and Willie Geneva Hopper Pugh; his wife Mary M. Turner Pugh; and his siblings, Winnie Fuller, Syble Baucom Brown, Elwyn, Leonard, Deb, Cody and D. L. Pugh.
He is survived by: his children, Helen Hill (Steve) of Dodge, Thressa Skidmore (Jayson) of Cedar Creek, John Roy "Shorty" Pugh (Cindy) of Crockett and Dennis Pugh (Susan) of North Zulch; his grandchildren, Stacy Slott (Michael) of New Waverly, John Lance Pugh (Mandy) of Lovelady, Justin Hill (Krystal) of Dodge, Heath Pugh (Alex) of Crockett, Brandon Skidmore of Cedar Creek, Ashley Skidmore of San Antonio, Dylan Pugh (Taylor) of Magnolia, J. R. Gibson (Jules) of Ft. Worth and Jack Gibson of Austin; and his great grandchildren, Kylie, Shelby, Kenzie, Reese, Alli Kate, Stella, Parker, Pace, Peyton, Brant and Rhett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
