He was predeceased by: his parents, Nat Elonzo Beard and Sarah Sharp Beard; and his siblings, Charlie Beard, Mary Rider and Mickey Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Polly Beard of Crockett; his children, Danny Beard (Tanna) of Crockett and Dana Diehl (Louis) of Grapeland; his grandchildren, Chris Diehl (Amanda) of Grapeland, Megan Allison (Matthew) of Crockett, Stanley Beard (Julie) of Crockett, Jeremy Diehl of Grapeland and Liz Miller (Taylor) of Huntsville; his great grandchildren, Marissa, Hali Jo, Billy, Macy, Matti, Dean, Dixie, Dawson, Cas, Eva Kate and Danny; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Freeman of Crockett and Sharon Freeman of Lovelady. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
