He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard Lucas and Mary Ed Smith Whetstone; his brother James Ray "Butch" Lucas; and his parents-in-law, Jube and Etna Jordan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Jordan Lucas of Crockett; his children, Roy A. Lucas (Mita) of Floresville, Mark Lucas (Cindy) of Nacogdoches and Angela Lucas Winters (Barry) of Austin; his grandchildren, Jennie Neal (Drew) of Thrall, Jerrah Hamm of Lipan, Logan Lucas of Nacogdoches, Seth Sicairos of Floresville and Xander Gutierrez of Floresville; his great grandchildren, Grady, Andee Kate, Harlan Neal, Copelin and Lochren Hamm; and his siblings, Leonard Lucas (Patti) of Crockett, Larry Lucas (Sherry) of Crockett and Patsy "PJ" Lucas of Crockett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
