It is with great sadness that we announce the death of May Ree Nix of Crockett, Texas, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Ray Nix; her parents, James McClanahan and Carrie McClanahan; her siblings, Mary Alene McClanahan Withers (Cliff), James Bradford McClanahan (Thelma) and David D. McClanahan (Merry); her brother-in-law Ray G. Brown; and her nieces, Sandra Kay McClanahan and Mayree McClanahan Harrelson.
She is survived by: her sister Ruby Brown of Crockett; her nieces and nephews, Kenneth D. Withers (Judith) of Jersey Village, James B. McClanahan, III (Lisa) of Colorado, David D. McClanahan of Fort Worth, Rickey Dean McClanahan, Chris McClanahan of Granbury, Roy Bradford Brown (Shauna) of Chandler, Linda McClanahan Dolby (David) of Palestine, Donna R. McClanahan Hall (Mike) of Arlington, Teresa McClanahan Williams (Robert), Brenda McClanahan McFarland (David), Kimberly McClanahan Parr, Beverly McClanahan Lanham and Rachel Beth Brown of Crockett; her nephew-in-law Rayford William Bridges of Lovelady; and her great-nieces, Ashley Graham Brown, Makaila A. Brown, Stacey Marshall, Melissa Withers Meadows and Olivia O'Pella. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
