She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Archibold Akin and Bessie Muriel VonHeeder Akin; her brothers, Frank Akin and Steve Akin; and her sister-in-law Geraldine Walzel (Frank Akin) of Dallas.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Wilson of Crockett; her son Michael Gouge (Margret) of San Antonio; her stepdaughters, Amanda Wilson (Matt Thomas) of Lago Vista and Victoria Wilson of Blythewood; her grandchildren, Alexander Gouge of College Station, Andrew Gouge of San Antonio, Avery and Allison Chavarria of Lago Vista; her niece Laura Martin (Brandon); her nephew Scott Akin (Stacey) of Houston; her cousins, Dale Von Heeder, Kay Von Heeder and Grayson Knapp; and her close friends, Steve Akin and Katherina Morris.
She was a healthcare advocate her entire life, teaching American Red Cross and American Heart Association CPR for over 40 years to thousands of people.
