He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zacharius Roop and Elizabeth Gertrude Roberts Roop (Bess); his wife Norma Talley Clancy; his children, John Clancy Roop and Vicki Jo French Crump; and his sister Bettye Jo Roop Furby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dallas Fitzgerald (Bobby) of Tyler, TX and Shirley Ann French Griswold of Florida; and his nephew John Scott Furby of California. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
