He is survived by: his wife Joan Hobson of Crockett; his children, Susan Istre of Houston, Bill Hobson of Latexo, Mark Hobson (Teri) of Seabrook and John Hobson (Velvet) of Sinton; his grandchildren, Justin Champion, Brett Champion, James Hobson, Adam Hobson, Walker Hobson and Morgan Hobson; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Mackenzie, Miles, Gus, Mavi, Hattie, KayDee, Hallie, Hayes, Kaitlyn and Emma. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
