She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Henry Ashmore and Zelma Geneive Johnson Ashmore; her husband Alfred Lee Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Hudell McCelvey Steed and Ray Steed.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Jimmy McCelvey and Patsy McCelvey; her nephew Scott McCelvey (Matt Vandall); her niece Shannon Page (Mark Page); her great-niece McCelvey Page; and her cousins, Debbie Swenson, Tage Swenson, Jerry Dillard and Angee Dillard.
