He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Eugene Oliver and Opal Jesse Jenkins; his sister Norma Jean Compton; and his son Lance Charles Oliver. He is survived by: his wife Gwinda; his son Zane Oliver (Lance) of Crockett; his grandson Max Oliver; his great grandchildren, Cade Ledlow, Makenna Gates and Marlie Gates; his siblings, John Oliver (Brenda), Steve Oliver (Cindy) and Jeanette Bird; and his siblings-in-law, James Gullion (Helen), Jim Compton and Pat Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
