We are sad to announce that on October 22, 2021, at the age of 60, Van Hughes of Crawford, Texas, born in Waco, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon Hughes and Bobbye Hughes of Axtell; his father-in-law Richard Stanko of St. Louis, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Charla Hughes of Axtell. He is survived by: his wife Denise Hughes of Crawford; his brothers, Gary Hughes (Sharon) of Robinson and David Hughes of Axtell; his daughters, Shannon Jacobs (Brock) of Crawford and Macie Hughes of Crawford; and his granddaughter Josie Jacobs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other extended family.

“My thoughts and prayers for your family during these difficult times. Van, Denise and the girls lived next door to me in Stillwater Farms for years. I enjoyed many long conversations with Van in our yards and at the China Spring football games. When he went to work for Glazers I was once again fortunate to enjoy his company when he serviced the lines or made deliveries to Shooters. You will be greatly missed my brother. RIP.
