With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel Freitag D. of Crawford, Texas, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 21, 2022 at the age of 59. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joel Freitag D. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Freitag and Sylvia Freitag; his father-in-law Calvin Boyd; and his siblings, Bill Hens, Ellen Borden and Eileen Fusellaro.

He is survived by: his wife Sammi Freitag of Crawford; his children, Jacy, Aden, Remi, Nash and Knox Freitag; his mother-in-law Nancy Boyd; his brother-in-law J. C. "Scooter" Boyd; and his siblings, John Hens (Laurie) and Nancy Segal (Robin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
