She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Carlton Strand and I. H. Terry Jr.; her grandson Brandon Keith Sena; her stepfather Leonard Strand; her husband George Lewis Grounds; and her brother Sonny Strand (Ann).

She is survived by: her daughters, Gina Holt (Lanny) of Abilene, Georganne Cole (Robert) of Abilene and Lisa Sena of Abilene; her grandchildren, Lucas Holt (Chelsea), Brian Sena (Lindsay), Riley Holt (Brandi), Brandi Murray (Donny), Robyn Cole and Logan Cole (Johanna Cole); and her great grandchildren, Ensley, Kade Holt, Cason, Hudson Holt, Braelyn, Brandon Sena, Hazel, Ledger, Phoebe Ann and Lucy Rose Cole. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Piersall Funeral Directors (733 Butternut St, Abilene, TX 79602).
