She was predeceased by: her father Jack Mewbourn. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Welch; her daughters, Britney Clark (Chad) and Cassidy White (Klay); her grandchildren, Presley, Swayze Clark, Brody and Beckham White; her mother Jodie Mewborn; her siblings, Dana Jordan, Terri Mewbourn and Ray Schmidt; and her uncle Edd Deen.

Joni was passionate about her love for animals, so in lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to local animal rescue Good Shepherd Rescue of Texas. Joni had a personal connection to the rescue, so please mention that it's a memorial donation in honor of Joni.
