He was predeceased by: his parents, Mance Grubbs and Faye Grubbs; and his siblings, Sam Grubbs and Ann Grubbs. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ann Grubbs; his children, Lisa (Michael Slaughter) and John (Kelly Grubbs); his grandchildren, Allie Grubbs and Amelia Grubbs; and his sister-in-law Merlene Crisp. He is also survived by nieces and nephews along with other beloved family and friends.
