He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe and Lula; his sister Maxine Deering; his son Richard Hunter Elliott; and his grandson William Blake.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Elliott; his sons, Joseph Brook of Texas, Dirk Brandon of Texas, William Forest of Texas, Lance Lanier of Texas and Lincoln Lee of Texas; and his sisters, Joann Scott of Texas, Carolyn McCauley of Texas and Carmen Gooden of Texas.
