He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ernest and Katherine Marie Nickes (Priest). He is survived by: his wife Sandy Nickes of Cottonwood Shores; his siblings, Archie Nickes and Yvonne Driskill; his children, Yvette Jennings (John), Jessie Nickes, Jr., Stormy Nickes and Joseph Nickes (Trisha Jo); his stepchildren, Josh Ludwig (Penny), Mary Alexander and Billy Ludwig (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Danielle Nickes, Ryland Townsend, Brady Smith, Rayne Provencal, Braycen Nickes, Jacob Read, Hannah Alexander, Makayla Alexander, Reagen Ludwig, Raymond Alexander and Bella Ludwig.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10376, 1001 Veterans Drive, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
