We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2024, at the age of 93, Roy Edward Ragsdale Jr. of Corsicana, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Roy Edward is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Roy Edward's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ragsdale and Eunice Ragsdale; his wife Benja; his son Steve; and his sister Elizabeth Roushey.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine (Alan Barnes) of Waxahachie and David Ragsdale of Corsicana; and his grandchildren, Shelby (Martin Davis) of Corsicana and Andrew Barnes (Jackie Vega). He is also survived by two great grandsons and one great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
