He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hilliard and Loreta Gunner Childers; his former wife Nelda Viola Thompson Childers; and his brother Gary Max Childers. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Childers; his brothers, Larry George Childers and Kenneth Gerald Childers (Sandi); and his children, Rhonda Cantrell (Randy), Karen Childers (David), Janet Childers (Leon), Cheryl Eager (Scott), Darrell Childers (John), Susan West (Damon), Robert Golden (Leslie) and Angela Childers. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
