With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pamela Jean Cates of Corsicana, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 68. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobby Gene Clay and Lillie Smeltzer Clay. She is survived by: her significant other Dean Cates; her sons, Jason (Paula Cates) of Corsicana and Mike (Thresa) of Corsicana; her grandchildren, Paige Cates of Corsicana, Laney Cates of Corsicana, Kenneth Black (Kala) of Corsicana and Chase Edwards (Shelby) of Dawson; her brothers, David Clay (Darlene) of Arlington and Randy Clay (Lisa) of Corsicana; her siblings-in-law, Joe Cates (JoAnn) of Barry, Roy Cates of Corsicana and Linda Stepp of Corsicana; and her nieces and nephews, Chris Cates (Kylie) of Michigan, Brody Clay (Shandee) of Mildred, Dustin Clay (Katie), J. T. Humphries of Corsicana, Paula Kirtley (Billy) of Tool, Stephanie Cates (Daniel Dunahoo) of Dawson, Lori (Anthony Trimble) and Megan Rivera of Corsicana.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home (1530 N 45th St, Corsicana, TX 75110). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton - Beeman Cemetery (700 Farm to Market 2555 Corsicana, TX 75110).
