He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer B. Lewis and Jessie B. Lewis; his granddaughter Callie Burnett; and his sister Francis McCarter. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Lewis; his children, Rhonda Burnett (David), Kevin Lewis (Catrina) and Jason Lewis (Misty); his grandchildren, Bryan Burnett (Victoria), Summer Wickware (Jeffrey), Zach Lewis (Ryann), Andrew Lewis and Rachel Lewis; his great grandchildren, Lexi, Carlee Baldree, Tanner, Bentley, Savannah Wickware, Flora Lewis and Brooklyn Burnett; and his sister Margaret Tyree. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
