He was predeceased by: his parents, E. O. "Buddy" Brooks and Lavern Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Brooks; his children, Buddy (Shara) and Kelli (Paul Ramirez); his siblings, Juanita Owens (Don) and Terry Brooks (Mary); his grandchildren, Brittany (Zoe), Lacey (Brendan), Henlee and Nathan (Lexi); his great grandchildren, Issac, Layla and MJ; his nephews, Jimmy and Kenny; his niece Kristen Brooks; and his great-niece Brynn Owens.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Corley Funeral Home (418 N 13th St, Corsicana, TX 75110). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the New Pursley Cemetery (7970 FM642, Purdon, TX 76679).
