Barbara Sue Bowling Obituary

Barbara Sue Bowling, age 61, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on July 19, 2024. Barbara was born on July 28, 1962, in Jourdanton, Texas, to Andrew McCauley Jackson and Barbara Rae McMains.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Johnnie Bowling; her brother, Andrew McCauley Jackson, Jr. and wife Crystal; her sisters, Margaret Pryor, and grandson Joshua Pryor and Betty Oren; and her grandchildren, Dylynn Anderson, Austin Jackson, and Kylie Sue Jackson. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Kathy York and her husband Alvin, Jan Richey and her husband Kent, and Joe Bowling and his wife Cindi, as well as her father-in-law, Johnnie Bowling Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Emily Foster.

Barbara had a passion for crocheting and adored her dogs, who were her beloved companions. She was dedicated to her career as a nurse, finding great fulfillment in caring for others and making a positive impact on their lives.

Cremation arrangements are under the compassionate care of Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Barbara's life and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Barbara's memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all those who were touched by her kindness and care.
