He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bernard Smith Sr. and Louise Marie Smith; and his daughter Catherine Smith Cisneros. He is survived by: his wife Willodean "Dean" Smith; his daughter Jennifer Swenson; his sons-in-law, Martin Cisneros and Zane B. Swenson; his grandchildren, Zane (Gracie), Austin, Genieva (Alex), Elliot (Flynn) and Jennifer (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Gregory, Trenton, Jakon and Carter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
