We bid farewell to Robert Maurice Galvan Sr. (Corpus Christi, Texas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 7, 2025 at the age of 95. Robert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafael Galvan and Virginia Galvan; his brother Ralph of Galvan's Orchestra; his wife Alicia Varela Galvan; his daughter Guadalupe Galvan; and his parents-in-law, Salvador and Angela Varela.
He is survived by: his son Robert "Bobby" M. Galvan, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Deeanne Galvan; and his granddaughter Jacqueline "Lexi" Alicia Galvan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (5620 Gollihar Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78412). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Robert M. Galvan, Sr., to the Library.
